Michigan's Unemployment Increases to 9.4%
Michigan's unemployment is up again. It rose four-tenths of a percent to 9.4 percent in August.
It's an entire point lower than it was a year ago, though. It was 10.4 percent last August.
Michigan is still above the national unemployment rate, which is 8.1 percent.
16,000 more people were unemployed than in July in the state of Michigan.
