Updated: Heroin Overdose Leads to Crash
A woman from Grass Lake is in the hospital tonight after an accident in Jackson early Sunday morning.
The Jackson County Sheriff said the woman pulled out onto Francis Street and crossed over the center lane, hitting a curb and striking a fire hydrant.
When a police sergeant tapped on the woman's window, he observed a needle hanging from the driver's arm and what was an apparent heroin overdose.
Paramedics and firefighters responded on the scene, they gave the driver medical assistance and took her to Allegiance Hospital.
