Jackson Police Searching For Bank Robber
Police are searching the neighborhood around the Citizens Bank on Jackson's east side, following a bank robbery Friday morning.
Jackson Police Deputy Chief John Holda says that at 10:37 AM, a man wearing a hoody and a mask over his face entered the bank located in the 1700 block of East Michigan Avenue.
He indicated to the clerk that he had a handgun, though no gun was seen.
The thief was given money and left out the back door. No one was hurt.
The robber was not seen getting into a vehicle, so investigators think he may still be on foot.
City police officers, sheriff's deputies and state police troopers have set up a perimeter and are still searching for the suspect.
