9/11 Families Upset over Tourists' Actions at Memorial
Today marks eleven years since the September 11th attacks. Grieving family members of victims and first responders are upset -- but not for what you'd necessarily think.
They say tourists are turning the 9-11 memorial site into a playground.
"These, to me, the names on the tablets weren't just names on a tablet," says Marianne Pizzitola, first responder during 9/11 attacks. "These were friends, these were family, these were people who had lives, who have stories. And they were being desecrated, in my opinion, by having children sit on them."
Pizzitola has also sent a letter to the president of the memorial, in an effort to change visitors' attitudes toward the site.
