Okemos Man Charged in Armed Confrontation
55-year-old Terrence Matthew Edwards is facing a number of felony charges after allegedly holding an East Lansing homeowner at gunpoint.
East Lansing police say Edwards appeared in a garage last Friday in a home in 1800 block of Northgate Drive. Armed with a gun, Edwards is accused of confronting the homeowner.
Police say Edwards knew the homeowner years ago and thought he could help him out of a financial situation. After arguing with the homeowner for about 90 seconds, he left the home on foot.
Edwards was arrested a short time later.
Edwards is charged with two counts each of Armed Robbery and Attempted Unlawful Confinement. Also, home invasion and a couple of firearm charges.
Edwards remains jailed on $200,000 cash bond.
