Local Soldier Killed in Afghanistan
CORUNNA - A soldier, who is a recent graduate of Corunna High School in Shiawassee County, has been killed in Afghanistan.
Shane Cantu graduated from Corunna High School in 2010.
The school's principal says he was notified that Cantu was killed earlier this week in an explosion while serving in the Army in Afghanistan.
The principal says Cantu lived in Corunna all his life and went through the Corunna School system.
He played football in high school.
