Lansing Dentist Found Guilty of Sexual Assault of a Child
A Lansing dentist is found guilty Friday of 15 counts of criminal sexual conduct against a minor.
Dr. Wendell Racette was convicted in his second trial on the charges. Racette sexually assaulted a boy in his office over a period of 5 years (1996-2000), while the child was 5-10 years old.
The victim came forward with the allegation in 2010. Racette's first trial on these charges ended last December in a hung jury. This second jury took less than a day to deliberate and find him guilty. Racette faces a potential life sentence.
