Amtrak Train Delayed Because of Grain Elevator Fire
An Amtrak train headed toward Chicago has come to a stop due to this morning's fire at the Citizens Grain Elevator on North Cochran Road in Charlotte.
Amtrak tells us charter buses were being brought in to take the more than 250 passengers to Battle Creek where they could catch a train to Chicago.
Train traffic had come to a stop because the tracks run right through the area where firefighters are.
