Recalled Gas Unlikely to Affect Drivers in Michigan
A recall of contaminated gas found in a storage tank in northern Indiana is not expected to have an impact on drivers here in mid-Michigan.
The experts at gasbuddy.com say the gasoline was likely stored for local delivery, and only trucks that pick up gas from that refinery would be affected. So the chances of buying any contaminated gas in Lansing and the surrounding areas are highly unlikely.
However, if you were in southwest Michigan, northwestern Indiana, or Chicago last week, and stopped at a BP station, you might be driving around with bad gas that could cause cause engines to stall out among other car issues.
