It turns out the flavor of foods might help boost your mood.

Other studies have confirmed that comfort foods like chocolate, strawberries, and foods with omega- three fatty acids can have positive effects on mood.

Researchers now say the effect may be in the flavors of such food, which are chemically similar to valproic acid, which is prescribed as a mood-stabilizing drug.

Tea, raspberries, and blueberries may also have this effect.
