It's probably a good idea to have your kids get a check up before heading back for the school year.
Free health screenings are happening this week at the Ingham County Health Department. Immunizations, vision and hearing screenings, and fluoride treatments are all being done at the offices on South Cedar in Lansing.
"This is a nice opportunity for them to get ready for school, particularly for young children," said Lisa Chambers, family outreach supervisor. "They have to have vision and hearing screenings and immunizations up to date before they enter kindergarten, so it's a nice chance for them to get that done at the health department."
The health fair runs from nine to four through Friday. It's at the Ingham County Health Department, in south Lansing.
