Sale of Entire Red Cedar Golf Course Could Appear on Ballot
The Lansing City Council will consider asking voters on the November ballot to sell the entire Red Cedar Golf Course.
Council members will hear presentations Monday on how selling Red Cedar might benefit the city. They expect to vote next week on whether to put the measure before voters.
The ballot would ask voters to sell the remaining 48 acres of the former Red Cedar Golf Course. The plan submitted by the Jerome-Ferguson Group calls for developing the entire golf course - not just the 12.5 acres along the road.
