Updated: Man Identified in Fatal Clinton County Accident

The man who was killed in a crash in Clinton County's Victor Township has been identified.

22-year-old Jacob Zelma failed to stop at the intersection of South Shepardsville and East Alward roads, when it was struck by another vehicle Tuesday afternoon.

Zelma died at Sparrow hospital.

Funeral services are planned for Saturday.

A 16 and 17 year old were also in the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.

 


 

One man has died after crashing into another car in Clinton County last night.

The Sheriff's Office says the 22-year-old man did not stop at the intersection of South Shepardsville and East Alward roads in Victor Township, and hit an oncoming car.

There were two passengers in his car, a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl; both were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The person in the other vehicle was treated at the scene of the accident.

The accident is under investigation; deputies are not yet releasing the name of the victim pending notification of his family.
