With Video: Capital Region International Airport Announces Return of Allegiant Air
Travelers flying from Lansing will now have a new option at the Capital Region International Airport.
On Tuesday morning, Lansing mayor Virg Bernero along with the Airport Authority Board Chair Chris Holman and Bob Trezise, President and CEO of the Lansing Economic Area Partnership, were a part of the announcement.
The airline service is Allegiant Air, which had flights out of Lansing from 2003 to 2009, and will be back at Capital Region International Airport to offer the only year-round service from Lansing to Orlando, Florida.
Sun Country Airlines also offers flights to Orlando with its seasonal service, and will be adding service to Las Vegas again beginning in December.
We spoke with Mayor Bernero and Capital Region International Airport Executive Director Bob Selig about the announcement at the press conference.
