Portland Man in Critical Condition Following Motorcycle Accident
A Portland man in critical condition after a motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon.
55-year-old Chris Hoppes was on westbound I-496 when he lost control of his motorcycle, and crashed and hit a cement retaining wall.
The Lansing Road ramp was closed for about two hours.
He suffered severe head injuries and was transported to Sparrow. He was not wearing helmet.
It is unknown whether alcohol or speed was a factor.
