What started out as a good will gesture for a local business has turned into a feeding frenzy of love and support for Gold medal Olympian and hometown hero Jordyn Wieber.

The Mega Mall Antiques and Collectibles Mall, located in DeWitt Township, wanted to show their support for their hometown hero and 2012 Olympic team member Jordyn Wieber so they created a huge banner with her image wearing her 2011 world champion medal and a London 2012 Olympic message that read GOOD LUCK JORDYN!

The banner was prominently displayed at the Mega Mall where it was extremely well received, so much that banner creator and Mega Mall owner Rich Kelley got a great idea.

"Lets have everybody here at the Mega Mall sign the banner and we will present it to Jordyn at the DeWitt Ox Roast as a gift and token of our appreciation to her." A non-anticipated problem arose..... much more than just the staff and customers from the Mega Mall wanted the chance to be a part of this enduring token of love and support, the whole community wanted in.

Kelley took the banner to DeWitt business Scoopy Doo's where the frenzy of signatures and messages of inspiration and admiration came pouring in. "It was amazing to see, the word got out quickly and people were coming in from all over just to see and sign this tribute," said Don Fletcher owner of Scoopy Doo's.

The banner now proudly hangs at the Mega Mall located in DeWitt Township. "This simple banner has turned into something very very special" says Mega Mall owner Rich Kelley. "People are gathering, reading all the messages, and leaving their own show of support on what has become a true piece of art and and an amazing tribute to an amazing young woman" "I cant wait to give it to her!"

The whole community is so much behind Jordyn and showing it by signing the banner that another problem has arisen for Kelley. "The banner is so full that I had to order a second banner! This one will be different though. Instead of her with her world champion medal and reading GOOD LUCK JORDYN! it will show her on the podium with her Gold medal and will read CONGRATULATIONS JORDYN GOLD MEDAL OLYMPIAN!

The whole community is welcome and encouraged to come out to the Mega Mall and sign the banner which will be presented to Jordyn at the DeWitt Ox Roast on August 18th.
