On this morning's Michigan's Big Show, Michael Patrick Shiels spoke with Ron VanTimmeren of Celebration Cinema about the new releases this weekend and the continued success of "The Dark Knight Rises."
Expected to do well at the box office this weekend is "Total Recall," a remake of the 90s film starring Sharon Stone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The reboot stars Colin Farrell, Jessica Biel, and Kate Beckinsale among others.
Also coming to theaters in the next week is "Hope Springs" starring Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones - that film will be out August 8th.
And "The Dark Knight Rises" continues to dominate the box office despite its connection to the Aurora shooting. The film will likely surpass $300 million at the box office after this weekend.
