New Amtrak Station Coming to East Lansing
A new Amtrak station is going to be built in East Lansing thanks to a federal grant of $6.2 million, which was announced today.
The current station will be knocked down; the time for that is not yet known.
That site will become a parking lot, and a new station will be built further back on that same property.
The new station should be operational by November 2013.
The construction of the project will not interrupt Amtrak service.
