BREAKING: Hostages Released, Gunman Remains Barricaded in House
The Ingham County Sheriff's Office has set up a perimeter around a home in Eaton Rapids after reports of an armed man inside.
Plains Road between Gale and Waverly Roads is shut down in the meantime. The home is located in the 6000 block of Plains Road.
We're told the Sheriff's Office is in negotiations with the gunman and they hope to have this resolved peacefully.
There are people inside the home with the gunman, but the Sheriff's office isn't commenting on how many or who they are. They did say they got a call about domestic violence at the home about 10am.
This isn't the first time police have been to this home. The Sheriff's office says there was a weapons complaint at the home about a year ago, so they're taking this very seriously.
