Twistars Coach Named Coach of U.S. Women's Gymnastics Team
Twistars coach John Geddert has been named the head coach for the U.S. Olympic Women's Gymnastics Team. Geddert is Olympian Jordyn Wieber's coach and is with her in Houston right now.
He'll be on the floor for the qualification round and the team finals. He'll also be on the floor with Wieber when she competes in the all-around and individual events. A source at USA Gymnastics tells us the decision was made Tuesday night and a formal announcement will be made Wednesday.
Geddert tweeted the following after tonight's meeting:
"With pride and honor I announce being named head coach for the USA Olympic Gymnastics Team! Pretty cool feeling."
