Popular MS Treatment Might Not Stop Disease from Progressing
The most popular treatment for multiple sclerosis may not stop the disease from progressing.
Interferon beta drugs are the most widely-prescribed drugs for multiple sclerosis. A new study measured how long it took for patients using the drugs to experience a decline in their symptoms, and compared them to patients not using the medication.
Researchers found no evidence the drugs helped slow the progression of their disease.
