Three Days Grace Talks Influences, New Album
Recent Common Ground headliner Three Days Grace has been making a name for themselves in the alternative rock music scene for over the last 15 years. Hailing from Canada, the band is best known for hits such as "I Hate Everything About You", "Just Like You", and "Never Too Late".
Their newest album, The Transit of Venus, is due out October 2, 2012. Lead singer/rhythm guitarist Adam Gontier tells FOX 47 it's a bit of a departure for the band.
"We worked with a different producer on this record, so we have a bit of a different vibe happening," he says. "But it's still pretty heavy and pretty rocking."
Before hitting the main stage at Common Ground Saturday night, Adam and bassist Brad Walst took some time following their sound check to speak with FOX 47.
From Adam and Brad's earliest influences (think 90s alternative bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam) to rituals on the road and dream collaborators, the guys gave us - and their fans - an inside look.
