LIGHTS Brightens Electropop Music Scene
Born Valerie Anne Poxleitner, LIGHTS is an electropop artist from Canada who has brought her music to the Lansing area twice in just the last few months.
Following a sold-out performance at The LOFT in downtown Lansing in April, LIGHTS was among the headliners at the 13th annual Common Ground Music Festival this July.
At 25, the singer-songwriter and musician has already won the 2009 Artist of the Year Juno Award and her latest album Siberia was nominated for Pop Album of the Year for 2012 at the Junos.
Before performing at Common Ground July 13th, LIGHTS sat down with FOX 47 to give us a candid look at everything from her various World of Warcraft-inspired tattoos to how she unwinds at home and why she decided to legally change her name.
