The former hotel manager who tried to leave the country before his sentencing on sex charges will be locked up for a while.

A judge sentenced Rajesh-Kumar Tiwari to up to ten years in prison Monday. He was convicted on four sex charges in May while working at the Days Inn in Albion.

Tiwari was in the U.S. on a work visa. Prosecutors say he took advantage of employees with money problems.

He was caught in New Jersey trying to leave the country with cash, passports, money from India, and documents showing a recent property sale.
