'Idol' Finalist Casey James Gives Advice to Aspiring Artists

The third night of Common Ground Music Festival was held Wednesday, and the line-up included actor Kevin Costner and his country rock band Modern West, as well alternative rock group Sister Hazel.
Thursday's headliners include country music stars Eric Church, and Kris Hitchcock with Small Town Son. Tickets are still available.
Our crew had a chance to meet with one of Wednesday's performers, American Idol season nine third-runner up Casey James, who had some wisdom for struggling artists.
"If you love to do something then do it, that's all there is to it," said James. "I did it for eleven years before I even thought of doing something like American Idol. I was happy every single day whether I had food or was struggling for rent."
