Family, Friends Mourn Duck Lake Drowning Victim

Family and friends are mourning the loss of 18-year-old Justin Pitz.
Pitz drowned Friday evening at Duck Lake State Park in Muskegon. A vigil was hosted Saturday evening at the state park boat launch where Pitz was last seen.
According to the Muskegon County Sherriff, he was swimming with a friend when he began to have trouble breathing, and struggled to stay above water. After hours of searching, a dive team found the 18-year-old's body close to shore.
Pitz's high school graduation party was set for Saturday. Instead, family and friends gathered to remember his life.
