Sexual Conduct Charges Filed in MSU Student Death Case
EAST LANSING - Criminal charges are filed three months after an MSU student is found dead in her dorm room on campus.
Wednesday Marquez Dominique Cannon, 18, of Eastpointe, Michigan, was charged with three felonies, two for criminal sexual conduct, in the death of the 18-year-old woman who was found dead March 19th in South Hubbard Hall. Investigators say they determined that over-consumption of alcohol had led to the freshman's death. Investigators say they also discovered evidence indicating criminal sexual conduct took place.
Marquez Cannon has now been charged with one count of criminal sexual conduct to an incapacitated victim, one count of criminal sexual conduct using force or coercion, and selling or furnishing alcohol to a minor causing death.
Cannon is being held in the Ingham County Jail without bond.
