Michigan State Launches 'Grandparents University'
It is never too late to head back to school.
Michigan State launched their Grandparents University. Even kids get the opportunity to live in the dorms and take classes like students, which the coordinator says makes the program special.
More than one-thousand kids and their grandparents played games, ate lunch, and attended class together.
"What we've really found over the last couple of years that's really unique about this program is that you often see grandparents that are babysitting their grandkids and things like that, but they don't usually get an opportunity to learn side by side. And that's what's sort of magical about this program," said Katie Cable, coordinator.
The event runs for three days, and more than 150 faculty members volunteered to teach the classes for the event.
