What was originally expected to be completed in late July is already done: the Harrison Road reconstruction project is finished, with all lanes reopened.

The construction, between Trowbridge and Mount Hope, forced drivers to cut through Michigan State's campus as the roads were torn up to work on repairs including sidewalk improvements, curb replacement, storm water improvements and resurfacing, to name a few.

According to the LSJ report, tree planting will lead to "lane closures over the next few months, but both traffic lanes will remain open."
