Local Crafters Gather in Meridian Township for Marketplace
Around 20 local crafters set up shop at the first Meridian Township Crafter's Marketplace of the summer on Sunday. It offers residents a chance to buy local, hand-made items like jewelry, purses, candles, and paintings.
For most of the vendors, it's one of the only chances they have to show their art to the town. Some of them have been coming to the marketplace since it's existed.
"Usually, you get about 15 to 20 people, crafters of all kinds. And besides that, as far as the crowd goes, sometimes 300 to 400 people come down," said Steve Adams, a vendor.
The marketplace will continue to be held at the Meridian Township Central Park Pavilion the fourth Sunday of each month from 11:00AM-4:00PM, through the rest of the summer.
