Howell School District Eliminating "Pay to Play" Fees
One school district is allowing kids to play sports without paying fees.
The Howell Public School District is eliminating the "pay-to-play" fees as a part of their proposed budget.
This makes them unique to the rest of the state, since most of the other districts have no choice but to require that students help pay.
The fees are used to fund the athletic programs and buy equipment.
