Lansing police are questioning the driver of a semi-truck following a hit-and-run accident on Interstate 496 Friday morning.

The victim was struck as he was walking along the highway and has been hospitalized with injuries that are described as "life threatening".

The accident happened in the eastbound lanes of 496 shortly after 4:30 a.m. Lansing police say the accident occurred near the Pennsylvania Avenue exit. Eastbound lanes of the highway were closed for several hours.
