GM Recalls Chevy Cruze Models over Engine Fire Risk
GM is recalling all models of the Chevrolet Cruze - those made in 2011 and 2012 - due to a problem with the engine shield.
According to General Motors, the issue could result in a fire, although no known crashes or deaths related to the issue have been reported.
Repairs will be done for free at any Chevy service department, only taking about a half hour for Cruze owners.
“The most important thing for our customers to know is that we are proactively working to assure the Cruze is the safe and durable car they purchased,” GM Vice President of Global Quality Alicia Boler-Davis said in a statement. “We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by these actions.”
