The former Lansing cop charged in a recent robbery will stand trial, and faces up to 15 years if convicted.
Wilbert Brewer waived his preliminary exam Tuesday, sending the case to circuit court. Brewer and a second suspect, Alvin Franklin, are accused of stealing cash and lottery tickets from a Speedway gas station in Delhi Township.
Brewer was suspended from the Lansing Police Department in 2002 for criminal misconduct. He was later fired after a drunk driving charge.
