Homeowner Saved from Fire by Dog Barking
According to reports, a home on Thurlby Road in Aurelius Township is a complete loss following an overnight fire. But there were no injuries, thanks in large part to the owner's dog.
Firefighters were called to the home between 3:00 and 4:00AM this morning.
Mason Fire Chief Kerry Marshall says the owner's black lab was barking as the home filled with smoke from the fire, alerting the sleeping homeowner.
