FDA Asks Farmers to Limit Antibiotics for Animals
The Food and Drug Administration is asking farmers to voluntarily limit the amount of antibiotics they're giving to their animals.
It's common practice that helps livestock, pigs, and chicken put on weight and stay healthy in crowded barns.
It's good for livestock, but not necessarily for humans: researchers say it's contributed to antibiotic resistance in people.
