Former Jackson County Judge to Face Jury
The former Jackson county judge charged with felonies for abusing his powers on the bench now has to face a jury.
James Justin waived his right to a preliminary hearing this week, which sends his case straight to trial. He was kicked off the bench in January for lying under oath and dismissing cases, which led to the felony charges.
Governor Snyder is expected to appoint Justin's successor no later than May first.
