Big Ten Accolades for Green, Izzo
We knew the Michigan State Spartans were Big Ten Champions last weekend, but following a disappointing loss at home that meant they would be sharing that championship with Ohio State and Michigan, the team got some good news today.
Draymond Green was named Big Ten Player of the Year after an all-around standout performance throughout the season. Jared Sullinger of Ohio State was seen as an early favorite this season, but didn't perform up to expectations.
Coach Tom Izzo was also named Coach of the Year for the third time. His last was in 2009, when Kalin Lucas took home Player of the Year.
