3rd Teen Dies, 911 Calls Released in Ohio School Shooting
A third teen has died and another is still hospitalized after Monday's school shooting in Ohio. The man prosecutors say pulled the trigger, appeared before a judge. The Ohio teen held in the fatal lunchroom shooting of his peers was escorted into court Tuesday afternoon but once inside, he's protected by the judge, not seen, because of his age.
Judge Grendel says: "You understand, that you have the right to remain silent with respect to any of the allegations pending in this court at all time, you understand?"
Lane says "Yes, sir. Yes, I do."
A prosecutor saying 17 year-old T.J. Lane is "not well" -- and told authorities he fired those 10 shots indiscriminately.
He confessed to taking the pistol to school along with a knife, admitted he went into the school cafeteria and fired 1 round at a group of students sitting at a cafeteria table. That he did not know the students but he chose them randomly.
The frantic 9-1-1 calls to police were released Tuesday. Detail of the calls can be seen in the video.
Extensive court records including the charge of attempted murder the younger Lane will be back in court in one week.
