Two Meth Labs Uncovered in Ingham County
INGHAM COUNTY - Two meth labs are discovered in Ingham County this weekend. On Sunday troopers from the State Police Lansing Post, as well as deputies with the Sheriff's Office, discovered a methamphetamine lab at a home in the 3400 block of Dietz Road in Leroy Township, between Williamston and Webberville. No arrests were made, but the case remains under investigation. The Tri-County Narcotics Squad assisted.
On Friday, members of the narcotics squad discovered components of a meth lab inside a mobile home in the Leslie Estates mobile home park in Leslie. "What makes this particularly dangerous is the close proximity to other mobile homes”, says Detective First Lieutenant Timothy Gill of the Michigan State Police, the commander of the First District Drug Task Force Section. “There is a great risk of fire and/or explosion while cooking methamphetamine. This poses a greater danger to nearby neighbors in a mobile home community.”
A 34-year-old man has been identified as a suspect in connection to the Leslie lab. Detectives expect to seek charges against him.
