Lawyer: Life Prison Sentence Unfair to Underwear Bomber
A lawyer representing the Detroit 'underwear bomber' says a mandatory life in prison sentence is unfair for a crime that didn't hurt anyone.
Lawyer Anthony Chambers is asking a judge to declare the punishment cruel and unusual.
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab will be returning to court Thursday, four months after admitting he tried to blow up a flight on Christmas 2009.
