MSU: Highlights in 58-48 Win over Ohio State
The No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes went into last night's game against No. 11 Michigan State with the second-longest home winning streak in the nation at 39 games.
Now, thanks to the Spartans' 58-48 win, the Buckeyes will have to start over. Michigan State is now tied with OSU at the top of the Big Ten with matching 9-3 conference records.
Adreian Payne had the biggest game of his college career with 15 points, including 6-6 shooting from the field.
Ohio State pulled it to within four points in the second half, 44-40, but a pair of Keith Appling free throws and a bucket from Derrick Nix extended the Spartans' lead to eight points.
All-American forward Jared Sullinger has 17 points and 16 rebounds, but also had 10 turnovers.
Michigan State will host Wisconsin at home next Thursday.
