Father Guilty of Murdering Two-Month-Old
JACKSON - A father on trial for murder of his own child is found guilty. Adam Stevens was charged with first degree murder and child abuse in the death of his son, Kian.
The incident happened in Stevens' home in Blackman Township August 19, 2010. On Thursday, a jury found Stevens guilty of second degree murder and second degree child abuse.
Stevens' defense was that he had accidentally dropped the two-month old child. Pathologists test showed that the boy had previous injuries and recent injuries consistent with abusive head trauma.
Stevens is scheduled to be sentenced March 2nd.
