Got a Dog Named Buddy? You're Not Alone
The Ingham County Treasurer's office announced that "Buddy" and "Max" top the list of most popular names in Ingham County for 2011.
The Treasurer's office is responsible for licensing dogs and tracks names. In announcing its annual list of popular dog names, Treasurer Eric Schertzing reminds dog owners that all dogs must be licensed and have a license tag on its collar while in public.
Schertzing estimates that are 60,000 dogs in Ingham County, but that only about 35% are licensed.
