With Video: Robbery, High-Speed Chase Suspect Charged
The suspect in Wednesday morning's pharmacy robbery in Leslie and the high-speed chase that followed has been charged.
Gary Allen Wilcox, a 40-year-old Lansing man, is charged with armed robbery, carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a firearm while trying to commit a felony, and fleeing from police. The charges add up to five felony counts. If convicted Wilcox could face thousands of dollars in fines, and up to life in prison.
The said charges are in connection to the Welcome Pharmacy in Leslie. Major Joel Maatman of the Ingham County Sheriff's Office believes the individual was fueling a drug addiction.
Maatman and other police believe Wilcox is responsible in a handful of other robberies across mid-Michigan as well.
