Stabbing in Jackson
JACKSON - Police were called to the hospital in Jackson just before noon Friday for a woman who had a puncture wound to her leg. She had been stabbed in a fight.
Earlier that morning, the victim's ex-boyfriend and his current girlfriend arrived at the victim's house in the 700 block of Second Street. The woman was visiting a neighbor's house, but spotted her ex-boyfriend. A confrontation ensued.
Police say they were told that at some point the woman was stabbed with "something." Police aren't sure whether a knife or another object was used. The ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend were not in the area when police arrived. No arrests have been made as of Friday afternoon.
The victim's injuries are described as minor, and she is expected to be released from the hospital soon.
