Hoekstra Plans Run for Congress
Former U.S. Representative Pete Hoekstra is planning a run for Congress against Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow. Two Republicans with knowledge of the decision say he changed his mind about the race, and is planning an announcement soon.
Congressman Hoekstra held his seat for nearly 20 years before running for governor last year.
White Hoekstra initially declined to enter the race, National Republicans are seeing his change of heart as an opportunity to unseat Stabenow, who will be running for her third six-year term this coming election year.
