The family of 53-year-old James Nguyen tells 7 Action News that the engineer from Dearborn Heights was into buying and selling used cell phones to people he met on the internet.

And on Sunday, January 31, Nguyen was lured into a trap in Inkster where the father of four was robbed, shot and killed.

Then this past Sunday, the same thing happened to 21-year-old Dakari Mitchell of Detroit.

Mitchell told a relative that he was going to buy a Playstation for $200. His loved ones never saw him alive again.

The locations where the men and their vehicles were found were just two blocks apart, around the area of Magnolia and Glenwood in the city of Inkster.

Investigators with Michigan State Police believe both men met their killers through Craigslist, but they say they're continuing to investigate to determine if the two killings are actually connected.

Both men were killed between 1:30 pm and 1:45 pm on a Sunday afternoon.

The suspect description in Mitchell's murder is vague. He's only described as a black man with dreads, wearing a dark-colored coat.

The suspect in Nguyen's case is described as a skinny black man with light skin, standing about 5'7" tall. He was wearing a gray hooded zipper jacket, dark jeans and Timberland boots.

Anyone with any information on either murder is urged to call Michigan State Police at 855-MICH-TIP or Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAK-UP.
