The Oakland County Medical Examiner's officer has found that 21-year-old Jessica White was strangled.
The young woman, who was from Troy, had been missing for more than a week when her body was found Tuesday night.
Twenty-three-year old Jordan McClanahan walked into the Troy Police Department on Tuesday night to reveal the location of the body. He has been arrested in the case.
Hazel Park police found White's body in a roof line storage area connected to the suspect's bedroom inside a home on Hazelwood near Woodward Heights. Police told family members her body was unrecognizable.
According to detectives, McClanahan admitted responsibility in her death. Family members say McClanahan and White were friends.
"She will be irreplaceable," said Chris Hess, a family friend.
Family and friends tell us both Hazel Park and Troy police had previously searched the home where the body was discovered.
