Volunteers Help Clean Up after MSU Game

All of those partying fans definitely left their mark on East Lansing this past weekend.

Volunteers were out Sunday morning cleaning up the mess left over from game day. Organizers tell us with the big rivalry, comes a big mess.

"It tends to be a little bit worse than some of the other games, so we try to be strategic in the weekends we choose to do cleanups. We do some driving around ahead of time just to see what the neighborhood looks like. It's actually not as bad as I expected; it's pretty messy, but I've seen it worse," said Olivia Seifert of the Community Relations Coalition.

Organizers urge residents to clean up their own trash, especially on windy days like Saturday. The mess from your party can quickly end up in your neighbor's yard.
